*Probiotic Bacteria Blend A line of Bactizyme product that contains non-pathogenic (ie. harmless to human) bacteria spores. These bacteria are naturally occurring in nature and selected for their ability to express enzymes that degrade fat, oils, and greases. This leaves behind a selective bacteria that will out-compete/replace the normal bacteria that is everywhere and continue to clean the floor after the cleaning is complete (i.e. after the mop and pail is put away).
HOW TO MAKE YOUR PLASTIC FREE FLOOR CLEANER:
Simply fill a dispenser (bottle or spray bottle of your choice) with 375 ml (12.5 oz) of water. Rip open your pod of Floor Cleaner Concentrate over the bottle and pour the concentrate into the water. Screw on the top and shake to mix.
HOW TO USE YOUR PLASTIC FREE FLOOR CLEANER:
Sweep or vacuum the floor first - for best use, spray directly on the floor or a damp mop.
Alternatively - add 2 TBSP of solution per one gallon of warm water.
Dispose the pod in the compost or garbage (rest assured it'll biodegrade in either).
Each pod makes approximately 400 ml / 13.5 oz of floor cleaner.
Keep out of reach of children and pets. Avoid contact with eyes. If product gets into eyes, flush thoroughly with water for 15 minutes. If swallowed, drink plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting.
Simply rinse out the pod, break it up and put in either a backyard compost or dirt. 1 pod can also be placed in a countertop composter such as the LOMI, and because it is made of natural waxes, oils and resins, it could really be disposed of anywhere without leaving a harmful trace. It will typically take 3 - 6 months to decompose in a natural compost pile with a good microbe mix.
These plastic-free pods are handmade in our Toronto area shop, so you can trust that not only are our employees fairly treated, they're also free to goof it up from time to time.

Only 9% of plastic is recycled.
Apart from the 9% that gets recycled, another 12% gets incinerated, while "the vast majority—79 percent—is accumulating in landfills or sloughing off in the natural environment as litter. Meaning: at some point, much of it ends up in the oceans, the final sink." -National Geographic

5 REASONS WHY WE USE PROBIOTICS IN OUR CLEANERS
When we developed our line of cleaning products, we opted for an array of ingredients that offered an effective clean that would last a long time.
- Microbial Competition: Probiotic cleaners contain live bacteria that are safe for humans and the environment. When applied to surfaces, these bacteria outcompete harmful bacteria for resources, reducing the presence of potentially harmful microbes.
- Biofilm Disruption: Harmful bacteria can form biofilms, which are complex communities of microorganisms that adhere to surfaces. Probiotic cleaners may help disrupt these biofilms, making it easier to remove dirt, grime, and pathogens.
- Odour Elimination: Probiotic cleaners can break down organic matter that contributes to unpleasant odours. By breaking down these organic compounds, they help eliminate the source of bad smells rather than simply masking them.
- Environmental Friendliness: Probiotics can reduce the use of harsh chemicals that may have negative impacts on human health and the ecosystem.
- Longer Lasting Effects: Unlike traditional cleaners that provide a temporary solution, probiotic cleaners continue working after application. The introduced beneficial bacteria can persist for a while, maintaining a cleaner environment over time.
