The intent was to develop something that was strong enough to remove make-up and clear pores, while providing PH balanced reinforcements to maintain and uphold your natural moisture barrier. Our cleanser (and all etee products) are developed with EWG's skin deep® rating system in mind. The hazard score, from 1 to 10, reflects known and suspected health hazards linked to the ingredients. Our goal is to use only low hazard (1 -2) ingredients. In some instances we may use ingredients that range from a 1 - 4 because - for example - some ingredients are a 1 or 2 if rinsed off the skin (as is the case with some cleansing agents), but a 4 if left on the skin. The rating system works as follows.
Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate
This surfactant helps to cleanse the skin by removing dirt, oil, and impurities, creating lather and enhancing the foaming action of the cleanser.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine
A mild surfactant derived from coconut oil, it contributes to the cleansing and foaming properties of the facial cleanser. NOTE: this agent could be considered a 1-2 when used as a cleanser because it's meant to be rinsed off, but higher if left on the skin.
Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate
Another gentle surfactant that aids in cleansing and foaming while maintaining a mild and non-irritating formula.

I really love this facial cleanser! From the fantastic eco- friendly aspect, to the attractive simple design and clean, light, natural scent, this cleanser is very appealing. It's even fun to mix! I felt a bit like a mad scientist, mixing a waxed pod of what looked like snail slime into water. I figured it probably wouldn't foam much, but I would try it anyway. I was so wrong! I use only 1-2 pumps, which is a tiny amount ( less than 1/4 teaspoon), and it foams up into light, satisfying bubbles that totally clean off makeup and sunscreen. My face is left clean, soft and not dried out and tight. I've had my first bottle for almost a YEAR, and still have about 1/2 inch left--that is a great value. I love this Canadian company and came here to reorder my face wash. But alas, you people all found out how good it is, and it's sold out. Kudos to Etee for their popularity-- you earned it!
It was interesting my first time filling the glass jar with water and mixing the cleanser myself. Now that I’ve done it once, it’s simple enough. I really love how the cleanser gets sudsy so it really feels like a nice facial cleanse. The bottle says use 3-4 pumps but I find that 2-3 is enough! I also really love the compostable container the cleanser came in. The less waste, the better! I will purchase this cleanser again for sure.
I bought this hoping it would really work at taking off waterproof mascara. I was shocked and thrilled to find out it did! I’ve been trying to find an eco-friendly cleanser that removes waterproof mascara but have had no luck. Until now. The search is off! Thank you Etee!
This has been a great daily cleanser, as it is not drying. It is also impressive at cleaning a makeup sponge. It lasts a long time.

I did have an issue with the first purchase, the pod has cracked and most of the concentrate had leaked. But Etee sent me a replacement with no issue.

I’ve tried many chew tabs, and these make my teeth feel slipperiest. Hope that’s a word. Vanilla mint is subtle and exactly what I like. These will be my go to for both home and travel!
This cleanser is just lovely. I usually use it after a cleansing balm, but it does a great job removing make-up like mascara on its own. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and moisturized - it's not drying at all. A little goes a long way, so I know one tube will last quite a while!

This cleanser works very well and you barely need any of it to suds up. And there is no scent which I am very grateful for in a world bombarded by to toxic chemicals. Just make sure you buy some kind of a container for it with a pump dispenser.
